FAQs

Common questions about our after hour clinic

Can't find an answer? Call us on (07) 3778 4888.

What is an after hour clinic?

+

An after hour clinic provides GP and urgent care services outside of standard business hours — typically evenings, weekends and public holidays. Our Springfield clinic is open 8am–8pm, 7 days, so you can see a doctor without waiting for your regular practice to reopen.

Where is the clinic located?

+

We operate one clinic, located in Springfield Central, QLD. We serve patients travelling in from Springfield, Greater Springfield, Ipswich, Brisbane's west and south-west, and surrounding suburbs.

Are you open 7 days?

+

Yes. Our Springfield clinic is open 8am to 8pm, every day of the week, including weekends and most public holidays.

Do I need an appointment?

+

No appointment is required — walk-ins are welcome. You can also book online to reduce wait time, especially during busy evening periods.

Can I walk in for urgent care?

+

Yes. Our urgent care service is designed for non-life-threatening conditions that need same-day attention, such as wounds, minor injuries, infections, or asthma flare-ups. For chest pain, stroke symptoms or severe bleeding, call 000 immediately.

Do you provide iron infusions after hours?

+

Eligibility for IV iron infusion is assessed by one of our GPs based on your symptoms and recent pathology. Where appropriate, infusions can be scheduled in the evening or on weekends at our Springfield clinic.

Do you provide vitamin infusions?

+

We offer IV vitamin therapy following a clinical consultation. A GP will review your health history and discuss whether IV therapy is suitable for you.

Can I come for WorkCover injuries?

+

Yes. Our GPs are experienced with WorkCover Queensland claims and can provide injury assessments, certificates of capacity and ongoing review.

Can you assess fractures?

+

We provide assessment of suspected fractures and minor injuries, coordinate imaging (X-ray) referrals, manage splinting where appropriate, and arrange specialist follow-up. Major trauma should be taken to an emergency department.

Do you offer sexual health checks?

+

Yes. We provide confidential, non-judgmental sexual health consultations including STI testing and treatment, contraception advice, cervical screening and PEP/PrEP discussions.
